Installing Implants

Usage of implants is usually a long term kind of solution that is supposed to solve the problem of replacing missing teeth every now and then. They are usually slightly expensive but are always worth the trouble. The root replacements of the teeth are usually made of artificial titanium which are usually inserted in bone sockets of any missing teeth to act as a replacement. A dentist can perform an implant procedure to help complete your smile.

These implants are surgically inserted in the jaw bones and this procedure is usually carried out by a dental surgeon. The implant is made of three plants just like the normal tooth. The first part is the titanium metal which is fused into the jaw bone, then secondly there is the abutment which fits up from the gum and finally there is the crown that will look exactly like the other teeth so that no one would realize that it is an implant instead of a natural tooth.

Carrying out Dental Veneers

Veneers can be described as tooth pieces that are colored and are also wafer-thin. These pieces are usually bonded onto the teeth surfaces. The main advantage of these veneers is the fact that they can be used in repairing broken or chipped teeth and can also be used to help out in changing the color appearance of the teeth too. These veneers can be used in addressing the very same problems that crowns address just that this would be a much cheaper and affordable option. Veneers can take from fifteen to twenty years at most if proper dental hygiene procedures are adhered to.
